Whenever I read, I usually look for issues with grammar or the flow of a story. So, as a beta reader I'm pretty good at picking out the things that would irk readers and makes fixes accordingly. I also like to read/beta stories that I'm familiar with, that way if someone does something with a character that is just waaaay out of character, or comes up with an AU theory that is original, but lacking in application (awesome idea, terrible presentation of awesome idea) I can make suggestions to fix those problems as well. I hate reading stories with awesome concepts and mind blowing writing, that gets torn down by the little things like spelling, grammar and flow of story.

I love to read, so there will very seldom be a time when I can't be available to beta. Every story that I read, I'm usually very familiar with the background stories for the canon, so I know what fits and what doesn't. I'm active on this website at least every other day, and I really enjoy seeing people's original ideas and helping them develop them.

At times, like when something is just so off the wall "crazy" in my books (pun?), I can be overly critical. While I enjoy helping people write, and I enjoy reading, if I begin to read something that I simply cannot get my head around, or something I really dislike (very seldom) I may get frustrated and stop looking at it until I can try to understand it better. I also cannot stand it when people ask my opinion, and then ignore what I tell them.

I really enjoy stories dealing with Halo, PJO, GoT, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Mortal Instruments, KOTOR, Fairy Tail, Naruto, SAO, Destiny (so few of them T-T), and a bunch of others that I can't think of right this second.

I dunno. I'll let you know if I don't like it when I read it.
