Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I am a complete nerd, so if it's nerdy chances are I know it. I'll really beta anything (any genre) so long as it doesn't have a lemon. I'm a writer (sort of) so I can help out with any of that. I'm new at betaing (is that a word?) but I'll correct any grammar/spelling mistakes I see... One thing about me is that I don't like cliches they annoy the crap out of me, so if your story is full of them you might want to pick someone /br / My main fandoms are Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice, Fullmetal Alchemist, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Percy Jackson. My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My first strength is definitely improving on people's writing. I can help out a lot with that, make it flow better, add more description, that sort of stuff. Also building characters. And even if I can't write them, I can help with plots. Also, I'm just kind of your average fanfiction reader, so I can help find things that the general public will like. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Okay, grammar and spelling. I'll probably catch most of the grammar mistakes, but I'm making no promises on spelling. I don't mind if you have a couple who are necessary to the plot, or if they just add to the story, but if your story is totally about original characters I'm not the right beta for you. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
