Greetings! My name is Liz. You may call me Liz. If you decide you would like me to beta for you, please note the following: -I'm critical because I care. If you think I'm nitpicking, I probably am, but I have your best interest at heart. -I expect you to have given your story a once over. I mean both grammatically and in the sense of plot. Know where your story is going, don't just send me a beginning. Give me an idea of a middle or end too. It will help me help you get to where you want to go. -Take my opinions into account. Don't get a beta if you don't want an opinion on your work. I don't expect you to follow my advice every time, but if you can explain something to me that I disliked, I'll probably side with you anyway. -Be aware that I can be extremely harsh and critical, especially if I find you repeating the same mistakes over and over.

My strength lies in OCs. I love well written OCs. If you send me a Mary Sue, I will rip your story apart. It sounds mean but I do it for your own good. No one wants to get flamed. If you put up a Mary Sue, it's almost guaranteed you will. I know how to make well rounded OCs. That being said, I also know how to keep other characters, well, in character. If you have a story and you are unsure of whether or not the main character is getting too OOC, send it my way. I'll give you an opinion on it. I realize it is a hard thing to do, and I myself have been guilty of it. Everyone has. It's no big deal. Honestly, I'm considerably more gentle towards an OOC character than I am Mary Sues. I also know enough about grammar to consider it a strength, but I can't promise I'll catch everything. I generally go over a fic two or three times before sending it back, but like I said, can't guarantee it'll be perfect.

-Pacing. God do I suck at pacing. This also goes for tenses, but I've improved enough that I can catch it in others' works. -Vocabulary. My vocab sucks. I can't make it sound any smarter, so don't send it my way if that's what you're looking for. Use a thesaurus like the rest of us! -Fantasy/Crime/Spiritual/Westerns/Sci-Fi to an extent... they all elude me. Not that I won't take them, I just can't promise it will be the most accurate.

Canon/OC! Obviously. Genres? Especially Romance, Humor, little bit of Angst, Parody, all of these are good. Femslash is most welcome here. I will beta pretty much anything. I'm pretty open minded.

Torture porn(at least without plot). Anime. Fics where canon characters are out of character on purpose. Fics where 'angst' is misinterpreted as 'whine'. Canon couples, ask first. We'll work it out. Certain fandoms will be a 'no' right off the bad, so give me a heads up in the message you send me and I'll let you know.
