I believe in the "sandwich" method of review. I'll start by pointing out your strong points and what's working. Then I'll focus on areas where I feel there can be improvement. And lastly, I'll return to positive notes and encourage you to continue your craft.

As a writer? My biggest weakness is motivation. If I'm not "in the mood", then I don't get much out of myself, and that's probably why I'll never make money in my craft. As a betareader I guess that can translate to disinterest in the subject matter. My other weakness is that my stories are so event-driven, I miss out on a lot of aesthetic details that I could be using to flesh out my work.

I enjoy romantic pairings, especially slash or "unexpected" pairings. I also love stories with an intrigue to them, whodunit type mysteries or areas where people are trying to figure each other out psychologically.

Well, although I wouldn't mind trying, obviously it would be very hard to beta for a story I'm not a fan of. (You don't want me for Dragonball Z, for example, because my criticism will largely be 'It's Dragonball Z'. :) ) I'm also not interested in stories that are all fluff (no conflict, everyone always happy, etc.)
