I visit some of the more gruff locations on the net so my critique style is rather direct, I hope you don't mind people yelling at you when you mess stuff up badly. I'd prefer getting flamed for good writing rather than getting praised for shit writing and I project this unto others whom I review. If you can handle that then I am sure we will be able to get along just fine and both draw helpful lessons from our cooperation.

I speak English and German fluidly and can read and write Latin. I know some French too but I wouldn't count on it. I have a rather advaced education in analysis and interpretation of texts, I don't know how it compares internationally but I suppose it's at least minor college degree like. I like to write myself and I try to make my own fics stick to the style or atmosphere of the original. I would be able to help you streamline a story if there's too much stuff stuck to it that's not strictly necessary.

I tend to put works I read in two categories: Like or Dislike, or as I tag them, Readable or Unreadable. Those I dislike I quit reading after a handful of pages. Those I like I stick to and will probably plow through in a mater of hours, no mater how questionable the quality or how long the fic is. I can, obviously, only give proper reviews of the latter category. If the Readability stayed alright but the plot or characters took a turn for the retarded later on (in my perception, at least) as I already got invested into the story I have a tendency to flip my shit and start yelling at people. If that happens then please excuse me or try to respond to the flames if you can, a day or two later I'll probably be cooled off enough to have a proper discussion if you didn't blow me off in the interim.

I suppose I'm up for anything, really. As long as you can write straight without the spell- / grammarchecker going ballistic. Though some of my favourite books are rather dark and serious (Faust, Heart of Darkness) I love me a good lighthearted story every now and then. Don't be afraid to ask me.
