I have been writing and publishing fanfiction on this site for over 9 years. I enjoy working with other writers not only because it's fun but also because I believe collaborating with other writers is the best way to improve both your writing and theirs. As John Green, New York Times best selling author, would say “I really think that reading is just as important as writing when you’re trying to be a writer because it’s the only apprenticeship we have, it’s the only way of learning how to write a story."

I greatly dislike the DocX thing here on fanfic and perfer to do editing in google docs. Hopefully that works for you.

I will always respond to messages and get back to you as quickly as I can. I love talking with writers and readers. They are the best kind of people. I am very detail oriented and tend to spot continuity errors like accidental POV changes. I can usually tell if a someone is in character or not right away. I tend to caught if you have used the same word too many times and can usually make a sentence flow better. I am pretty good at spotting plot holes as well.

I will be reading through stories for spelling, grammar and typos, of course, but I have less confidence in my abilities here. Reading someone else's story for typos is far easier than your own and I should caught any major problems, such as anything that makes the story hard to understand. I just may not put in as many commas as the English language would like me too. Commas are not my friend. Just ask any of the people who have beta read for me and they will tell you I suck at commas. I have a hard time reading stories when the characters feel very out of character. Its like watching strangers with the names of people I love and it feels wrong. However I have read some very well written out of characters stories so don't let this stop you from asking me. I just may not be as enthusiastic about it.

I love romance and happy endings but I will read lots of different stuff. I really hate the DocX thing here on fanfic for exchanging chapters. I use email and google docs to edit and write.

Random pairings confuse me. I much perfer couples that are canon or at least hinted at in the canon. I mean if you think Simon and Clary from the Mortal Instruments would have been cute by all means I will read that, but if you pair Simon with Raphael I will squirm. I just can't picture Simon gay, kinda like how if you wrote Alec as straight it would feel wrong. If its really well written maybe but... yeah... I am sorry if this stops people from asking me to beta for them. You can always ask. Just thought I'd warn you. :)
