Hi, as a Beta reader, I would expect the people I beta for to follow the rules of written language with proper punctuation and grammar. If an entry seems choppy and/or rushed, I'll tell you.

While I like to read and critique stories, I will be a full time college student come September, so it'll take me up to a week to get your chapters back to you, though I'll try to keep you updated via PM on what I think of your story. Also, before you send your story to me, I'd appreciate it if you ran it though a spell check first, to catch any silly mistakes made when typing.

And, of course, I'd like to at least have a footnote at the end of the chapter.

I'm fairly good at catching spelling mistakes and grammar mishaps, ie: using plurals when possessive should be used, unnecessary capitalization and apostrophes, things like that. I can help you get your story through the parts that you're uncertain on, and help you get a stable base to figuratively launch from.

I am human, I'm just as prone to making silly mistakes as anyone else. My biggest weakness so far is, in my opinion, keeping characters in character.

Action, adventure, drama, and mystery are my favorites, but I'm open to suggestion. Also, don't be afraid to send me fiction that's not my list.

Slash fics. Any kind of slash unless it is CANON, I avoid like the plague. Not that I have anything wrong with people who are gay, I just don't want to read about it.

Complete crackfics and parodies. I can't take them seriously.

Really, really, mushy romances, or anything with really descripive sex scenes. Suggestiveness is fine, but I'd rather not get into the nuts and bolts of it.

Horror stories a la Paranormal Activity. I'm not a scare-the-crap-out-of-your-reader author, or reader. I can scare myself well enough without any help, thank you.
