As an editor, I would describe myself as constructively critical, yet friendly. I believe that every story- and writer, for that matter -has potential, so I will treat you as a talented writer, even if you yourself don't seem to think so. Although, keep in mind, even if I do really like your work, I will still try to comment and offer my own personal insight on ways to make it more impactful and coherent to the reader. I am willing to edit for content, style, and grammar.

My personal strengths include editing for style (if a paragraph flows well, if what you're saying is relevant to your story, rewording so things don't sound overly awkward or off to a reader, correcting you if it sounds like you vomited an SAT prep book all over casual lines of dialogue, etc.) and relating how a character feels on paper. I'm also very straight forward and clear about the changes I think that you should make to your piece.

My weaknesses include dealing particularly with plot lines, considering that editing the content of certain events may lead a story into disarray. (To resolve this, I would probably leave notes for the author instead of actually changing any content directly) It might also take me a while (like give a take an hour or so upon receiving the file to edit) if I'm being tedious in my beta-ing.
