American, living in Britain, so I've had experience with several spellings and ways of saying things. I don't like repeating words or phrases, but ideas can be good if not overdone. I don't have any qualifications in English/English literature beyond GCSE, so I'm not an expert. Please don't expect me to pick up everything. Anyone who wants me to help should be able to take constructive criticism and also tell me if I'm out of line. However, please do mention if I point something out in your story which you're comfortable with and I'll leave it be. Working on learning another language; it will be a while before I'm fluent.

Grammar, spelling, punctuation, phrasing. Technical accuracy. Don't get me wrong; I'm interested in the story! I just find it a little distracting if there are several typos and the like.

Plot holes, irregular sentence structure, a desire to know if sentences are "correct". Lists. I sometimes find it hard to follow a narrative, something I'm constantly working on. I may not know how to describe exactly what I mean.

Sci-fi, crime, drama, adventure, mystery. Humor/humour, parody. Especially Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Avengers though working my way into comics over time. Will happily beta slash, yuri, yaoi. Anything from the bad guy/girl's POV is something I find interesting.

Fantasy, usually. Will make an exception for manga or non-human stories. Also, if it's a series I'm familiar with, I don't tend to like character death (if not canon or alluded to). Will beta if there's a story and it's not just killing someone off because you don't like them.
