Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
My 'normal' profile will tell you about me, my beta-reading style is a basically what I've written in the rest of this 'interview' even if it isn't much. I don't really require anything except maybe a bit of patience, and faith that I can do a good job, besides the fact that I'm not the oldest of people on the site. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Knowing when a story doesn't flow well, and usually being able to come up with a way to fix it. Great at fixing punctuation as well as the use of paragraphs, which bugs me greatly when incorrect. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Not great at explaining why things are wrong, just that they are. Haven't done many/any beta-readings, so I need a bit of practice. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Sci-fi. Fantasy. Happy endings. Not incredibly long. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Main character death. People being a different species from what they are in the original work. Over 100,000 words. Poetry. |
