Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Hey, I'm ImagineAsian101! I love reading, clearly, so I'm a beta-reader. Anyways, here's what you need to know. First, I'm a pretty fast reader, so expect a reply soon. Second, GRAMMAR is my number one pet peeve. Just make sure your story is decent otherwise I'll throw a hissy fit and freak out. If English isn't your first language, then that's cool. But, if it is, listen to your English/language arts teacher and give me something to work with! xD Third, I'm open-minded, so I don't care what you send in. I'll read anything. And, lastly, don't act like my critique is the word of God. It's just my opinion, y'know? So, don't use me as your only editor. Go through it yourself. Strengths? Hm. Well, I'd say punctuation as one. I'm pretty good at knowing where the commas, periods, etc., go. Also, word choice. I hate crappy, boring words. I can give you a selection of more smart-sounding, descriptive words! |

I get writer's block easily. So, if I run out of ideas for you, that's why. Secondly, I'm kind of vague. I don't know if you guys enjoy that. I'm trying to be specific and more exact now! |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I like romance, young adult, and anything adventure-fantasy-ish. Think of the Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Mortal Instruments, Sarah Dessen, etc. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Anything historical event-like. So, if it's a story from the civil war... No, just no. And, on that note, war stories. Not a big fan. |
