I have an extremely critical eye when it comes to writing. I know a good story when I read one, grammatical errors and all. There are so many stories with ideas, and scenarios that could have great potential but they are so quickly dismissed because of the way it's structured. There are thousands of fics I've refused to read myself because of poor capitalization in titles/summaries, poor adjective use, grammar, or simple plot defects. I can help these stories.

All they need is a thorough read, and a mechanical work over. That's what I excel at. I've always been very creative but never had the drive to complete my own stories, but if you give me a half finished story with a few holes and structural problems -

I can turn it into gold.

As a beta, it's my duty to tell you what you can change about your story to make it better and more intersting, but only if I feel it's necessary.

I only ever think of the story's best interests, and my advice is just that, advice.

Rearranging and organizing sentences/paragraphs/scenes, filtering junk from plots, OC creation, free running ideas, time line structure, grammar, extensive vocabulary/descriptive words, and plenty of good advice.

If a story has poor character reenactment and a bad plot, there's no saving it.

Stories with accurate portrayals of characters. Stories that have well thought out plots and are well structured. Preferably anything close to cannon.

The more realistic and believable, the more I like it.

Take a look through either my favorite story or "subscribe/alert" lists for an idea of what anime, TV shows, movies, or books I have an interest in. Those are typically the stories I will beta for first.

An embellished plot line that has no goal, or one crammed full of technical detail that makes the story lose flavor. If the characters aren't strong, or OC's with names or personalities too eccentric to be cannon.
