If I am to be your beta, I expect that you can take criticism and corrections. I am not bashing your work; trust me I write as well so I know how difficult it is to write a chapter. I want you to be serious in wanting your work to be a good story.

I honestly haven't done this before, so I figure a chapter, whether complete or partial, can be sent to me and I will edit it. If you are interested in someone to be a 'sounding board' for ideas, I would be willing to listen.

If you use an IM site or google docs or skype, you will need to let me know, because I do not currently use anything like that and will need to do whatever needs to be done to set them up.

My strengths are spelling and word-choice, though word-choice is just often me using a thesaurus. If I am familiar with the fandom, I can often tell you when your character is in-character or out-of-character. I am adequate with grammar, but please look at my weaknesses for more information.

Grammar is a fickle mistress to me; I often use commas when I should use a semicolon. I also have difficulties with run-on sentences. I can usually spot these errors in the works of other people, but it is difficult to spot in my own.

I am also not always the most timely person. I do have a life, I am currently in University. I have homework and other such responsibilities, so it may sometimes take me a little while to edit something, but I will do everything in my power to let you know ahead of time.

I would prefer to stay in fandoms I am more familiar with, please look at my listed preferences. There may be others, so feel free to ask. I could always make an exception, after all, I got into / learned about both Supernatural and Harry Potter though fanfiction. I adore crossovers, so I am always willing to help with them, preferably so long as I know both fandoms.

I can read just about any genre, things don't really phase me, if you are looking for just editing. If you are looking for characterizations and someone to also bounce ideas off of then I am better with Drama, Angst, Romance, Hurt/Comfort, Suspense, possibly Crime and/or Supernatural. Please look at my preferences.

I am not familiar with most anime and manga, so I would prefer not being a beta for those stories. I do not and will not touch troll stories, parodies, or crack stories, I do not find them humorous and I never read them so I'm afraid I would be of no help to anyone writing one.

I can edit any genre of story for spelling and grammar, but if you are looking for more than just plain editing then I would not send me Humor stories. I enjoy a well written Humor story, but my area is more drama/emotional.
