When I'm reading, I tend to look at plot, character development, and style first. While I believe technical ability (spelling, grammar, and vocabulary) is important, it can be overlooked if the storyline is strong enough. As such, I would first focus on smoothing out the plot line and all of the sub-plots, making note of what doesn't fit or what is a hindrance to the story. Then I would look at the characters, making sure that they stay consistent throughout (e.x., a character who is rude the next minute won't be polite "out of the blue"). Character interactions are also important, as they drive the story. The style of a story is important. It should be fairly flowing and easy to understand. Finally, I would search over for spelling, grammar, and vocabulary mistakes, just to be safe.

I am fairly adequate at putting together interpersonal conflicts and such. I feel that I'm also pretty good at describing a scene. If it goes on inside a character's head, I can write it. If it happens between two distinct characters, I can write it.

I'm not amazing at writing action sequences...

Action is fine, though I do enjoy reading stories that are very character-driven. Also, I'm a sucker for romance.

Anything not Starfox (unless you're a friend of mine). Also, no yaoi or "humans and Starfox" stories.
