Hi, there! I'm not the most experienced beta out there, but I get the gist of beta-ing. I'll give constructive criticism to help improve your stories to make them easy to read, enjoyable, free of mistakes, so on. I only have a few, minor expectations. I definitely, absolutely, under no circumstances, will beta your story if:br /

1. Your story has less than 600 words. I mean, come on. Extend it. Exceptions are if your first chapter is a prologue or preface and if you send me a drabble-type thing.br /

br /

2. It has way too many mistakes! That means if you do this: "Hey Annie ill meet u @ the mall tommorow!" Or something like that. That's not called writing, folks. That's called texting.br /

3. It just plain sucks. Sorry, but sometimes the truth is harsh. If your story has no plot, you continue to spell numerous things wrong, you don't even write your story in story format, etc. You get the point.

I'm pretty good with spelling and grammar. I can also help with coming up with fresh ideas for new chapters and helping you come out of a writer's block, for example. Also, making the story flow where it needs to so it's more complete and whole, I guess you could say. And I think I do an above average job to keep the characters in character. So if you need help with characters' personality, ask. I'll definitely help with that.

I don't have a keen eye for detail, so if you have a very tiny, miniscule grammar mistake, I might not notice it. Time is also a problem. Don't expect me to get your story back to you in like fifteen minutes. It's gonna take a couple of days. I'm also huge on characters. Characters are the most important thing in a story, for me. If you're not doing a good job of keeping the characters in character, I'll definitely point it out loud and clear. Maybe TOO loud and clear. Sensitive people, I'm not your person. :)

I would prefer not to beta read sci-fi, western, that kind of stuff. I have absolutely no experience with those. Also, horror stories. That's a HUGE no-no. If it's nothing too serious, like just about a guy who sees ghosts and they come back to life, then sure. If it's something that Stephen King would be proud of, please do not send it. I will be under my bed for three weeks. No joke. Seriously.
