I tend to read for grammatical errors and general plot holes. I know that it is often easy to miss the small things when writing, so I tend to focus in on these. However, I don't read a story and severely edit it because I don't like a couple in it or anything else picky like that. In short, if you want a beta reader who will nitpick your usage of lay versus lie, I'm your girl.

I'm an excellent grammarian and a wicked speller.

I'm not so great at maintaining the general flow of action. I'm much more of a dialogue girl. If you expect me to try and improve your work because it is too full of dialogue... I'm not your girl.

I prefer to beta romance stories, with some tastefully written smut thrown in every now and then.

I do not want to beta anime stories. I also do not like action stories, so I would probably not beta those very well.
