I like reading, and I like correcting errors. I'm free a lot of the time, but I'm English so timezones could be an issue. I'm a bit of a perfectionist, which can only really work to your advantage. I'm happy to listen to ideas, happy to nag you to write, happy to spout off crappy sentences until you get a good one. I'll be your Jiminy Cricket. When doing something like this, I'll probably reply as soon as I can. I get excited to help people. Feel free to abuse that.
I'm not very experienced in betaing, but I correct my brother's & friends' homework/essays a lot and once my friend asked me to help with her story writing. I am currently beta-reading one story.
I'm a bit comma-happy, so don't necessarily trust me on that.
Maybe I'm not the best at my own creative writing, but the little things I correct in others' tends to help - a second pair of eyes. I'm always better at helping other people than myself.
I'm willing to do what you want - go through and simply do grammar, or go through everything and change anything that sounds clumsy or question what you meant or replace a word you've used 3000x already. I'm also willing to talk you out of freaking out or anything like that; be more of a mother than a spell check machine. Your choice, just specify :)
I'll beta read for anything I have listed and more, although I'll probably do best at Supernatural or Twilight fanfics. I also read and watch a lot more than I have listed, so if you want to ask about anything that looks like it might be there, just ask - I won't bite.
For Supernatural, Sherlock, the Dresden Files, Twilight, the Hunger Games, the Inheritance Cycle, Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson & the Olympians and Vampire Academy, I am completely up to date.
For Doctor Who, I watched from 9 onwards, but I may not have paid loads of detail when I first watched anything but the more recent series.
For Avengers, I've watched all the films but I have only read some early Iron Man comics.
For SHS & COD, I was completely up to date until fairly recently when I found them suddenly boring. I don't mind spoilers, but if you do, then you can ask where I got up to - I can't remember off the top of my head, though.
I am still in school & I am 16. However, what I call my strengths are true - and I'm a year ahead in English, so please don't let my age put you off.
