Beta Description
Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I'm a skilled editor; I am great with fixing sentence structure, spelling errors, and swapping words for good synonyms/antonyms. Overall I am quite good with helping add style and originality to a story.

You may ask me to edit something with even tens of thousands of words. I will try to help in any way possible. I will give you tips and pointers on how to strengthen scenes or the climax of your story; I can give you suggestions on how to commence forth with a plot or a b-plot; I'm open to anything. I love getting questions and helping out.

I don't mind conversing and exchanging comments about changes you'd want to make, and things you want to strengthen or fix. As long as you want to work on the project, I'll keep helping out.

You may also ask me to beta any rating. I am willing to beta for K-R rated fiction.

My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Editing grammar, improving style, synonyms and antonyms, swapping words, sentence structure, revisions, picking out common mistakes like comma splicing and tense errors, restructuring a story, reducing the length of a story without taking away key elements/important scenes, improving dialogue between characters, adding depth and emotion to a story.

Some errors I often come across that I am easily able to fix:

A. when an author uses too many descriptives and names for their characters - i.e., 'The raven haired boy' or 'the young blonde girl'. I can often spot this and advise against it, because it sounds too contrived and mechanic.

B. when an author lacks great adjectives in their story. I often take out simple words like 'great', 'wonderful', and 'excellent' or 'horrible', 'bad', and 'sad' for synonyms that really strike the reader and make an impression.

C. when an author is having difficult conveying a particularly emotional/dramatic/horrific scene in their story. One speciality I have is strengthening these difficult kinds of scenes, by adding commentary or changing sentences and swapping words, and reflecting on my personal style - i.e., murder scenes, scenes of insanity, scenes of inner-dialogue and conflict between characters, death and dying scenes, etc.

My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I would like to become stronger in college area grammar, and I continue building onto my own personal writing style. I am also continuing to work on shortening the length of my papers for school. I add excellent content, but I of course have to re-read before submitting to take out anything too verbose to keep the paper from becoming too long.
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
No preference, really. I am the queen-of-all-genres, so I am able to beta anything for you, from angst to comedy, from parody to drama, romance to horror, and everything else you can think of. I actually enjoy beta-ing quirky or eccentric fanfiction. But I also like introspection in particular - character 'gen' and introspection fiction is a favorite of mine, and so are friendship fics.

I am particularly good at editing and writing all of the following genres:

-Romance (including sexuality, I don't mind working with it)

-Horror

-Science-fiction

-Fantasy and the Supernatural

-'General'/introspective fiction

-Friendship

Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
None, honestly. I will give everyone who requests me a chance with their story, if you tell me what you'd like me to edit. I think limiting yourself to only a few types of stories is not very good, so I never do this. As of right now, after over one year of betareading for fanfiction users, I can't remember outright turning down a fic. Content doesn't limit me!

I have a wide variety of interests, so I have seen a lot of popular movies and played a lot of popular games; but even if you don't have a 'popular' or well-known fandom I will still beta for you. I think smaller fandom fiction is still just as interesting.
