Hello Stranger :) I've been on this site for a few years now, on and off - mostly on- and have published eleven of my own stories. As a beta reader I can nitpick grammar and spelling, but I can also help on flow of story, plotline/characterisation and so on. I CAN give the whole "tough love/cruel to be kind/no pulling punches" routine which I know works with some people, but overall I (would like to think that I) am a nice person, so I'm not going to be mean when it comes to editing. Of you yourself I would like a good, and existent, beta-author relationship. I'd like to discuss your work with you, although if you want I can just edit it and send it back. Any expectations of the plot itself is that your story has to be written about something *compelling*, so to speak. What you think that word means is completely up to you :) I will be online most days/nights, and the majority of betaing will be completed from Friday to Sunday. My strengths are spelling and/or grammar, and developing the wording of a story. I can also help with anyone whose second language is not English. Characters and their personality are also my strength. I think that as a writer it is up to you to develop your character and figure out who they are - but I will be there to ask all the right questions about why they do this or who they are.

Lemons. I don't have experience in that sort of thing and although I have read them, I haven't written any, so don't expect too much of me. I know how life was created, etc., but when it comes to graphic stuff I'm not going to be much help!

Harry Potter (I prefer, and have beta-d before, AU stories), Twilight (imprint or AH stories although I can do all), The Last Airbender, anything from Tamora Pierce - simply because at the moment they are my best universes. I PREFER canon couples overall, but I can take nearly any (unless specified below).

I'm not too fussy about slash, etc., There are a few pairings I don't like but don't mind (I tend to stick to canon because most other pairings don't make sense... like Hermione/Oliver Wood. I just don't get it) and that may annoy me slightly when reading through your story, but it won't affect my final judgement - I will let you know if I 'can't handle' that sort of pairing... also, anything more than slight OOC means I'm not the beta for you. I tend to get very picky about characterisation of canons. Pairings I can't beta for: Blackwater, Jedward, Paul/Bella, Jasper/Bella, Zutara, Hermione/Snape. I'm sorry but they just don't work for me. Rape's alright although not too graphic, but I can't take any abusive shit to do with children, or anything REALLY twisted. Thankyou for your time _
