As a Beta, I will look for things that are out of place, characters that seem to be out of it, and mistakes in spelling and grammar. I will make changes in a different color so you can see what was changes. Notes will be done at the bottom with numbers corresponding to the changed marks so you can see why I changed what I did. I've taken college level English classes, as well as a creative writing course. I expect you to at least take what I say seriously, and take it into consideration.

I had horrible grammar as a young child, so my teachers hammered it into my head. I've become pretty good at it. Tense changes and wrong subject-verb pairings (ex- I were, you is; something I've spotted in some Fanfics) are my fortes. I like to think my spelling is pretty good, though I do make mistakes. I always seem to spot spelling mistakes when reading stuff. I'm also rather good with things like your and you're. I can help you create strong characters. I can help you figure out how they would act in a certain situation or what they would say at that particular moment. I'm also very good with dialects from various parts of the world. I can point out cheesy and cliche plot aspects to help you make your story as original as humanly possible.

I like things to be near perfect, especially in writing. You'll have to give me a specific date you want your story/chapter edited by, or you won't get it back for a while. I also tend to not notice OC-ness in canon characters, though I can spot Mary/Gary Sues in original characters fairly easily.

Length doesn't matter to me. I'll do one-shots, multi-chapter storied, you name it. I prefer canon on all stories, although I can handle the non-canon one-shots, as long as they're one shots. Multi-chapter stories have to at least have a canon pairing and somewhat canon storyline.

I'm picky. No AU multi-chapter stories. Violence I'm okay with as long as it isn't, like, ripping-peoples-throats-out-and-dismembering-the-bodies sort of thing. Sex is okay as doesn't go past a T rating. Also, no incest, rape, masturbation, ect. No self-harm either, unless mentioned in passing. Suicide I'm iffy on. I guess it depends on the content and how it's presented.
