Since I'm currently majoring in English, you shouldn't expect me to be overly kind; I'm sort of a grammar Nazi, sort of over analytical, and sort of insane, and horribly difficult to impress. But I think all of those things compose a good editor. So, if you take writing seriously, just like I take writing seriously, I think I'll be a good beta for you. If you’re just doing this for fun, that’s quite alright too, but expect hardcore advice.

I excel at shorter stories (1,000-10,000 words or so) because it's more contained. I can give a lot more help with a shorter story than an extremely long one. With shorter stories, it's easier to identify a theme, keep a coherent plot line, and all of that good stuff. I'll be able to give you more advice on literary terms with a shorter story than a longer one.

I'm "slightly" OCD. I hate author's notes, I hate the confusion of they're and their, and bad grammar in general makes me want to die a bit. (You're excused if English is not your first language) It's terribly important to keep an open mind while beta reading; but please people, try and edit your works before you send them to me. The more obvious and oblivious mistakes I find the more I'll want to resign as your beta. And for the love of God, learn what a semicolon is. (Please...)
