I read and understand English. When reading somone else's text its easier to notice mistakes than from your own text. I believe that for one's own writing the eye may not be as critical as to reading others writing. br /br /

I have studied English language for the past 20 or so years and I currently am doing my thesis in English. I usually use the American English, as it is more comfortable for me, but I am not unfamiliar with the British English either.

When I read a story I first read the whole text to get the contects correct. Then I re-read it again to see mistakes or things that may not add up.I am not expecting the writer to be excelent in English language, to me it is enought that one is trying and I engourage writer's to do their pieces even in a language they might not be completely familiar with. It is important to write and try, other wise one may not get the practise they need.

Finnish is my native language, so that just comes fluently.

As I previously mentioned, grammar and such are easier to spot from a text not one's own, because the critical eye is different. I am not saying that I am exelent with grammar, no I am not. I have written stories of my own and realised my own mistakes after the 100th time I have red the story and usually after posting it. That's why I belive that when someone else is reading your story it is easier to spot mistakes.

Making the story and the context is important so the reader can enjoy the story.

Also helping the other with ideas ect is not bad in my opinion.

As a writer I have to read my story several times and I honestly can say that I have made the mistake posting the story too soon with out reading it aloud. Mistakes can happen and I try from now one to cool down and take a different point of view on my own stories... or just simply find a good beta :)

Hah, honestly I like Bya/Ren stories, just any kind really. Usually something that is romantic, funny, maybe a bit sad and something that exites the reader.

As for Junjou Romantica, I prefer Egoist...:)
