Well, as far as style goes I look for stories with originality and coherency. I have a lot of time on my hands so I don't care how long or short it is as long as you take the effort to make the story not seem to drool forward at the speed of smell. I try not to be OVERLY critical of minor things, but if it's repeated throughout the story I will make a note of it and let you know. I'll read almost any story if not just out of curiousness but because I know the storyline well enough to know when there might be errors in either character profiles or misspelling of the name, (Unless you've completely made you're own version of the story, then I'd forgo that last part.) The Story types I'd be best at Beta-reading would be anything Kingdom Hearts related, Tenchi Muyo, Devil May Cry, Final Fantasy, and almost anything made by Square Enix or most Animes.

I'm very good at finding spelling errors, the usual grammar slips, seeing if something is too descriptive or not descriptive enough. I'm usually pretty laid back when it comes down to story line, but I notice pretty quickly when there is a hick-up in the story that shows incomplete thoughts and poor character mood changes, (Like for instance: Character A is a laid back person to a fault and has been up to the newest chapters. Now he is a strict person with an attitude. Now where as this is acceptable if certain situations arise, it tends to throw people off kilter when they react out of character with no reason behind it.)

I can do most types of stories from gore-fests all the way down to romance, (I'm a sucker for them), but my weakness has to be actually being able to telling someone if they introduced certain "Interests", (Mainly Romantic interests) into the picture since I do not pretend to comprehend the storyline from the very beginning. As it may take me a few extra times to read it over and review it to get a clear picture of the moment, do NOT go with my opinion first when it comes down to romance.

I prefer reading comedies or adventures, sometimes even just flat action where guns are blazing ever other scene of the story. Whereas I'd read almost anything, besides a select few things.

I will not read anything with any type of sex involved, as it is in my book, an unnecessary trait. Where I do not care about anyone's sexuality in the stories, I just don't read sex scenes. Now on the other hand if they are Insinuated, like a couple goes to bed and the next scene is them waking up or some other time the next day or so, is perfectly fine and I'd be glad to read your story. And I'd prefer to NOT read a story that has no real work behind it.
