I am a rather straightforward beta-reader who lacks artistry and analogical wordplay. I beta-read for the sole purpose of editing punctuation, and replacing words I deem faulty. It depends on your literacy, really. I am not a native speaker of the English language to say the least; though I strive to improve through this method of offering my capabilities as a writer. If you are truly in need of more vivid description in the form of imagery or perhaps connotation in your story, I will make an effort to help to the best of my abilities. If you are well-versed or satisfied and need only a quick once-over for any hidden typos or minor grammatical errors throughout the story that you might have missed, I would be happy to do that as well.

As I said, I excel at punctuation marks allocation, although it may not seem like much (which probably isn't, but I just like contributing my help, however small it is). I tend to adjust dialogues a bit if, in my opinion, looks like it lacks something. If I'm beta-ing a fanfic from a fandom I'm not really familiar with, I don't take chances at changing stuff since I don't familiarize with the characters well, so in that case I only check the grammar.

Mind you, that I may not be consistent with beta-ing. I am solely driven by mood, so if I'm not in the mood to beta-read, it can probably take weeks for me to finish. I just can't rush things, otherwise it may turn out bad.

Be that as it may, if you are genuinely needing assistance as quick as possible, I'll be happy to oblige. Just tell me when you need it finished and the pointers for the chapter you're sending me so I don't get lost. Hopefully I'll be able to arrange beta-ing so that it doesn't clash with my real life.

Working at night is a big no-no for me, so please perish the thought. I mess up a lot. I'm also a bit lacking at the tenses, like deciding when would be the appropriate time to use 'won't' instead of 'wouldn't', 'had' instead of 'has'. But usually when I proof-read it again my instincts kick in and detect the mistakes.

Well, most of the time.

There are no particular types that I prefer, at the moment. I feel most comfortable with Adventure or Hurt/Comfort stories. I consider Romance to coalesce with Adventure because for me, it's always the inevitable spice to make the story more appealing. That's not to say there aren't stories without pairings that can be perfect without at least romantic notions between characters, I'm just stating what I think to be the most general outcome in that genre. I'd be happy to assist with either type of story, though.

Mystery and Horror. AND heavy violence/gore. And poems, to say the least. As for M-rated fanfiction...let's just say that experience is the best teacher, and I certainly lack that necessary wisdom.
