When reading a story, I always pay close attention to pacing, plausibility, character depiction, flow, and level of detail. These are the elements that I believe are critical to the success of a story, and what I will consider as a beta-reader. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
I love traditional English, and a more formal approach to the language is quite appealing to me. If you want to play around with a character in a way that strays from the source, I'll support you and help you develop that unique path you're taking. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Won't be helpful for the content of smut scenes. Not particularly attuned to grammar, I go by whether or not it sounds right. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
CATS, Frozen, Harry Potter, A Song of Ice and Fire, Inheritance Cycle, Hunger Games and The Infernal Devices are preferable. Most movies and book series are fine by me |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Poetry is completely beyond my comfort zone. Smut is okay, as long as it's not the focus of the story. |
