I'm not picky. I'll help whoever wants/needs help with spellchecking, grammar-checking, or even some of the writing itself. You should keep an open mind while working with me, though. Open-mindedness is always a must when you're collaborating with someone. And I expect whoever I'm working with to be professional, and not get all defensive if I tell you that your character is leaning towards Sue-ness, or that the plot doesn't make sense, etcetera. On the other hand, I'd also appreciate it if you didn't let me boss you around so much, because that would end up in me practically writing the story for you, and I'm not a ghostreader. Finally, I'd like you to credit me in the author's commentary. That should go without saying, but let's just make it clear.

I know the technicalities of English grammar very well, which is, as we all realise, a crucial requirement in writing. I can spot a Mary Sue from six miles off without binoculars. I may be bossy at times, but I'm tactful. I believe kindness is very important. If your idea is horrible, I wouldn't tell you that; I'd just tell you it needs work. If your OC is a bigger Mary Sue than Artemis Fowl, Bella Swan and Harry Potter put together, I'd be more than willing to help you make a few improvements here and there.

As aforementioned, I'm bossy, so if I don't like your idea it's quite likely that I'm going to request a complete makeover of your fanfiction.

I would rather help you with oneshots. For drabbles or multi-chapter fanfictions, I would be willing to proofread them as well as give you my advice, but that is as far as I will go with them, as I, in all likelihood, will have little time to spare on longer fanfictions. I will provide full betareading services to a maximum two-chapter fanfiction.

OCs (own characters). I advise against basing an entire fanfiction on an OC, because it is very tricky to write one without the said OC coming off as more "special" than the canon characters. Crossovers are also a tough area for many betareaders, so I would rather not. Finally, like I explained above, please do not ask for FULL betareading services (rewriting, plot revision, character-adjusting etc) if your fanfiction is over 2 chapters.
