I don't expect your writing to be perfect, but I do expect at least American Junior High-equivalent English skills when it comes to stringing thought processes together and keeping the story on track. Also, I cannot stand it when a story is written with a basis in a certain series, like Transformers or Harry Potter, and there's been no research done. I've got experience beta-ing several stories, mostly work for the Anime Addventure and a couple Inuyasha fanfics. I do better when I've got individual chapters to work with, rather than whole stories.

I love to write dialog. If I can hear the character in my head, I can do a reasonably good job of translating that to paper. Emotionally charged scenes are good, too.

Combat scenes are not my strong suit, full stop. I can be too meticulous and demanding, which delays everything.

Action/Adventure, Drama, Romance, Comedy, Romantic Comedy; these are my favorite types of stories to read and would prefer to beta. Harem Comedy is good, too. Science Fiction is my favorite setting, though.

Horror, any male/male relationships that go beyond familial affection, anything that winds up laden with Internet Memes as well. Also, unrealistic pairings.
