Basically, so long as your writing isn't completely awful, so full of grammar mistakes that it's impossible to find the point of the story, and has some flow to it; I don't really mind. Also, smut is okay. I don't write or read it but I don't have a problem with it so long as its well-written and not too centered on sex.

I'm able to catch mistakes in spelling, grammar, and tense fairly easily.

Your story could be completely full of mistakes, but I will have a difficult time breaking it to you. But of course, I'll have to force myself to awkwardly do so.

I prefer to beta stories that I actually know something about. Like, if you were to ask me to beta for some kind of Anime series, like Bleach, I'd have to say no because I know absolutely nothing about Bleach. If I did, I would certainly help you. But because I don't understand it, my beta-ing might not be as good. Does that make sense? Also, I love beta-ing for ships like Sam/Freddie and Katniss/Peeta. :)

Twilight, porn, Twi-porn, etc. I suppose Carly/Freddie, Katniss/Gale stories bother me, but there also aren't many of them out there anymore. They kind of died off after the realization that that would never work out kicked in.
