For the most part, I am looking to help writers improve the grammar and general readability of their stories. I read a lot of fanfiction on this site and there is nothing that detracts more from the quality of writing than poor grammar and incorrect word usage. All that I would ask from the authors who might potentially seek my help as a beta is that you are open to suggestions and constructive criticism. I enjoy reading and writing for this website quite a bit in my free time and I believe that I can offer a lot as a beta.

CHARACTERIZATION! The most important aspect of any story, in my opinion, is the growth and development of its characters. I want to know and love these characters if I am going to spend my time with them. I am very good at working out character growth. Word choice is a big thing for me. I have noticed that the stories that lose my attention most frequently are those where the author uses the same verbs and adjectives over and over. I am a very good human thesaurus and I can help make the difference between a dull and repetitive story and a shining gem, just by changing a few words. :) I also have quite a few plot ideas floating around in my head that have not had the time to come to fruition between my work and class schedule. Therefor, if you are at a loss for where to turn on your plot map next, I can usually be of some assistance. Best of all, I am very patient. If you are the worst writer in the world, but you love what you do, I will stick it out with you until the end. Most importantly, if you are working on something revolving around a story or writer or anything with which I am not familiar, I will do my homework before making any suggestions. I don't believe that anyone can truly beta a story that they are not as familiar with as they are familiar with the back of their hand.

I am not fantastic at spelling. Spellcheck is my best friend. :)

I have incessant writer's block. (Hence the hugely long wait for those of you reading Venom and Snowflakes.)

I am very picky. If you ask me to beta for you, it will be perfect in my eyes before anyone else reads it.

Obviously, I love Wicked, especially the Gelphie fandom.

I am also well versed in most fantasy and science fiction works.

To be honest, I would love to beta for pretty much any book, movie, musical, or anything else, you name it. I love to read new things and I am open to whatever you want to throw at me.
