Having an English major as my mother has bred me to become quite the grammar/spelling nazi myself. I will catch almost any error and if I don't, I might call in help from my mom (as silly as that sounds). I don't want to read dirty or trashy stories, so if yours is extremely graphic (e.g., detailed sex scenes, sexual perversions, or excess profanity) please don't ask me to beta because you'll be wasting my time and yours.

I can catch most common grammar, spelling, and punctuation mistakes. If I see anything I think might be wrong but am not sure about, I have an english major to consult. Also I can help refine your writing style, e.g., I can catch if you are "telling" more than "showing" and can help you fix it.

I can't and won't re-write the story for you when I beta (meaning if you don't understand something I think you should change, I will not re-write whatever part you have a problem with to show you what I mean.)

I prefer romantic comedies, adventures, and sci-fi. I don't have a problem betareading stories that deal with homosexual relationships as long as they aren't explicit (meaning detailed sex scenes / scenes of sexual or erotic pleasure).

I don't want to beta any stories based around a character who rapes, murders, or does anything extremely immoral or unethical similar to those things.
