I am not a grammar or spelling specialist, but I know my way around the English language better than most. I am pretty bad at correcting my own work so please don't let it stand as an example of my total ability. What I write is always clear to me, so I read what I expect to find, not necessarily what is there in front of me. This is not true with other's work.

I believe I excel at finding unique ways to say things. That may sound corny, but to me the key to good story is not often saying what's happening, but rather saying enough and letting the reader connect the dots. Painting a picture with words is as every bit as difficult a task as with a brush.

Repetitive words are my main enemy and a thesaurus my friend. If one word can not replace another, often times two or more will.

I am a creative person, or at least I like to think so. I try not to let grammar and spelling get in the way of a good story. I know the right use of all of the similar words (I.E There, Their, They're... ect) and am familiar with correct punctuation use as well.

I like stories that take me places. I need to know what a character is thinking, feeling and seeing if I am going to like a story. Don't tell me things, show me them. If you are the type of writer who can say something without saying it, then I want to be there to help you in anyway I can. I also for the most part prefer darker stories. Relationships are great, but there needs to be some grit and real hardship in a story for me to get behind reading the whole thing.

Hard to say. I will read anything if it's done well. This site has shown me that there is a lot of talent out there and just because I didn't like the last romance story I read doesn't mean I won't like the next.
