I'm a newbie as beta-reader, but I'm certainly no stranger to fan-fic. I love reading some of these stories so much, I figured why not? ^^br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / I would love to help making some these great fan-fics to become even better than they already are in nayway possible XD |

I can really spot grammar errors, I'm pretty good at. Like at least I'm 99.9% positive I can help with grammar editing ^^ |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
Well I think that the hardest part of writing fan-fic is to keep characters' characters (lol! XD), making sure I don't drastically change the characters' original behaviors and personalities and all that stuff ^^'br /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / I can spot it nevertheless in a work if it's not your intention. I'm not completely bad at it in my works, but it continues to be my obstacle up to now XD |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I can enjoy most genres of fan-fic, but my faves have to be romance, adventure, action, humor, parody, and fantasy. I ususally don't request for a specific show/game/anime/etc... but I think it's fair if I read stories I'm most familiar with. Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
Well, as much as I love reading fan-fic, some genres that might really put me to sleep is the sci-fi genre... sorry but stuff of the future kinda bores me for some reason, unless it's a really good one. And I'm not saying that I can tell, but my BIGGEST pet peeve on here is when I put a story alert but the author just doesn't continue the story. Especailly if I really like it, but then the story just never gets updated... even when it was left at a cliffhanger! How cruel! DXbr /br /br /br / br /br / br / br /br /br / br / br /br / br / And I guess it is fan-fiction, but I kinda find it hard to enjoy stories when the characters are REALLY (and intentionally) OOC... it's just hard sometimes ^^' |
