As a beta-reader, I want to help you communicate your story in a way where your readers can easily understand what you're saying and you are happy with the way you say it. I would prefer to do editing on a WordDoc, but if that is not possible, I'm sure we can find another way.

My expectation of my writers is that they will let me know why they reject certain edits in the beginning so that I can better understand their style and put effort into the sort of edits that would be acceptable to them and their audience in the future.

I am good at encouraging writers and posing clarifying questions. I have a critical eye and am able to pick up most errors with relative ease. In December, I finished a course in Professional Editing at my university and graduated with a degree in English.

My biggest weaknesses as a beta-reader are probably bluntness and the fact that I am new to betareading.

The genres I like the best are romance and friendship.

I prefer not to betaread detailed sex scenes.
