I'm a harsh critic. I tend to point out everything I find weak or lame in a story. I don't pull my punches. You DON'T have to listen to everything or anything I say but be weary about that when you ask me to critique or review. Remember when I say these things that I'm doing it as a beta-reader NOT as your friend or one of your readers. Those are different roles that I'll be in different mindsets for so I'll be acting

Warning: Given the fact that I don't pull punches I'm almost guaranteed to say something to upset you at some point. You don't need to stomp off and stop talking to me. Simply ask me to change my mindset. Ask me what I think of the story as a reader instead of a beta-reader to get less harsh-comments. Now while I can't stop you from going off to a board and complaining about me (you know who you are-seriously it's not that hard to find with a Google search your posts aren't that discrete) I request that you simply ask me to look at your story a different way.

And honestly if anyone calls me a retarded "bleep" that needs to be in a mental hospital again just because I don't like your fandom there WILL be problems. (I'm talking to you random Marvel fan. I don't blame the fandom but boy did that guy need a chill pill.)

Abundant Angst/Sorrow. (I'm fine with some but if your story's goal is to do nothing but depress me I've got better/happier things to do with my life.)
