When I'm reading I look for:

1) Spelling/Grammer - Very important, but basic thing. I get really annoyed with storys that have bad spelling 2) Style - Does the text have appeal, does it have action that is fast paced but still discriptive when it needs to be?
3) Possibility - Is what is happening in the story possable in real life or not too unbelievable for people to laugh at you (unless it is sci-fi for the whole thing)

Pretty good with grammer, so if their is a mistake I'll probably pick up on it but no guarantee.
Can come up with ideas if you are stuff with writer block, done it a couple of times on freinds stories. Also, beacuse I'm a scientist I am pretty good at spotting thing which are impossable/unlikly to happen if you are after realism. Also am in the TA so can give advice on basic infantry men's guns etc. for the British Army

Can be too much of a perfectionist but I do tend to do this more with mainly computers/games.
Sometimes when reveiwing something I'll see if I like it not if it is actually good or not, although I have stopped doing this as much

I would prefer Warhammer 40K stories, Megaman Battle Network Stories, Stargate (SG! or Atlantis) or Timesplitter stories as I know something about them and thus tell you more on the background and am more likely to enjoy the story but I'll Beta almost anything, including crossovers. If I do not know much about the background you can either give me a link to find out more or I will just will irnore it and read it as a story with no links to anything else.

I'd prefer not to go for Naruto or Bleach or anything like that, as I REALLY don't get it and it seems like way to much all other Japaneese anima (I am definatly going to get shot for that one!'
