Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I will happily beta read (almost) anyone's story (depending on it's category) in hopes of improving grammar, punctuation, spelling, and perhaps even story line if required. And even though I already have a lot on my plate, as long as it's all written out and ready, I'll be perfectly prepared to try my best at improving anothers work. Not to be insulting,saying that whoever reads this has crappy work. I just like improving things, but to be forewarned, i have a very crude, dark humour, so upon handing me your story, don't be expected to be given fluff back. Now on a side note, if a story contains an unusual pairing, I will still accept your story. Which means yes I except the same sex pairings and what not. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
My strengths fall into the categories of improving grammar mistakes and creating believable character personalities. But with the help of Microsoft word everything else usually falls into place. In addition to that statement, I'm also good at writing dark lemons (ahem) more specifically Rated M stories, to say the least. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I have a few weaknesses. Of which include writing action sequences, paragraph structure, and what some would consider, the way I type. Action sequences, I have a lot of trouble with them, I absolutely love to write them but since I really suck at writing them, I need a strong background to start with if I were to beta an action sequence. Secondly, is my paragraph structure. Although many say I am fine with writing it, I do feel that on occasion, I put things out of order. Lastly, is the way I type. Although I am in America, I've throughout my life continuously spelled my words using the British terms (which has given me many a C- in writing classes). There's nothing that bad with it, but it generates 'misspelled' words whenever you upload chapters. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
I love anime. It's as simple as that. Mainly, I'm a Naruto only writer, but I also enjoy many other anime. Some include; blood plus, Strawberry Panic, Rosario Vampire, Bleach, ect. But if given enough information on the characters and the story, I will happily beta the story. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
I really hate video games and movies. I mean I will beta them if it's just for punctuation and what not, but otherwise, I would suggest not having me beta them. Hell, I can't even play video games Or watch most 3-D movies 'cause I get motion sick... |
