I've never actually tried beta-reading formally, but please don't let that put you off!

I can comment on a whole range of things: grammar, lexis, vacabulary, terminology, realism/believeability, spelling, dialect (esp. 'Britishims' and 'Americanisms'), pace, etc.

My style may not be the 'standard' way in which people usually beta - I've never had anything betaread either. I would try to make it as helpful and clear as possible, though.

I've always loved reading and writing, and academically, English has been my strongpoint.

Grammar, vocabulary, Britishisms/Americanisms, pace, spelling. I can be quite meticulous, and anything that I seems a little 'off', I willl probably comment on. That's not to say I'm picky - just thorough.

Possibly characterization, as I have the least experience in beta-ing this. I can usually recognise bad characterization, but I might find it difficult to tell you 'how' to fix it.

Anything in my preferences, but especially Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, Harry Potter, POTC, LOTR. Any genre, though parodies may make me cringe!

Not into Anime/manga, cartoons or comics, so don't ask. I hate the Da Vinci Code, so don't ask on that either. I may have trouble with horribly unbelieveable parings in romance. In all other respects though, I'll probably give it a go, and I'll tell you right away if I can't/don't want to.
