I am new to being an official beta, but I have edited works for people before.

My usual occupation is editing for people who speak English as a second language, but of course, I am open to other authors and story types as well. I really think everything you need to know about me is in my profile. If you still have questions, you can feel free to PM me.

I am excellent at grammar and spotting inconsistencies within a piece. I try to be as kind as possible while still being honest.

I don't always finish work quickly. That's not to say that I'm a slacker, but it can take me up to two weeks to finish beta-ing something. Also, I can't always create plot points. On the upside, that's not actually my job :) As I see it, I'm the technical producer and the author is the creative screenwriter. Or something. Another weakness is that I totally forgot most of my film class. xD

I like romances. :) I will also read comedies, but my reading tendencies lean towards romances. They don't have to be terribly torrid affairs or anything like that, but a cute little story is always nice.

For beta-ing purposes, I prefer one-shots, but if the story interests me, I will beta a multi-chap fic. If that is the case, however, I can only do one, or maybe two at a time, depending on my workload.

Happy Endings! I love, love, LOVE (!) happy endings!

I dislike Darkfics. I can deal with very (very!) dramatic, but I don't want to really read about suicide, and drug abuse, and Naruto deciding to embrace the Kyuubi and murder all of Konoha. It just puts me in a morbid mood. I prefer happy endings :D

Songfics. It's okay if your piece is inspired by a song, but I really don't want every other line to be lyrics. It's annoying. Also, Character XYZ gets drunk in a karaoke bar and sings a song (at this point ALL OF THE LYRICS are included. Urgh) and then the object of Character XYZ's affections falls madly in love with them and realizes, by them getting bombed out of their minds, that they really do love him/her. Except that whole second half of my run-on sentence is implied, and not even stated.
