Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
Yo, everyone. I've taken up beta-reading along with updating my own works! I've practiced several times now with some friends, and I think I'm ready to go for this! I'm pretty confident, but I'm always willing to learn to improve.br /br /br / br /br / br / Now, I DO have some standards. You need to be literate. That means no "Txt-Talk"(Some abbreviations and emotes are fine, however). I'll let some typos slide, but if your requests are chock full of them without a viable excuse, then you can consider your request already rejected. I'm also not good at dealing with Drabbles, or anything that has a chapter less than 1.5k Words. So, don't expect me to go out of my way for those. I might, if the topic interests me, but that's no garuntee.br /br / br / br /br / br / Also, don't expect me to be on stand-by 24/7. I do have a life to live, and if you don't like that, then tough. |
My Strengths: beta, writing, or reading strengths
Grammar, Spelling, Speed, Resourcefulness, and Able to acknowledge when help is needed(I actually DO utilize the Spell Check at times)! I can't think of anything else right now, but I'll be sure to put anything new here when I think of it. |

Diligence(There are times where my mood and/or other circumstances utterly kill my ability to work), Able to miss small things at times(Which has brought about some... interesting situations in real life). I can't think of anything else right now, but I'll be sure to put anything new here here when I think of it. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Really, as long as I know the series well enough, and it doesn't feature a character I hate as the main character(Unless it's given a good reason, or if it's humor only), I'm up for anything. If I think of anything else specific, I'll put it here. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
No Male/Male. Nu-uh. No way. Not happening in my book. Also, there are some series I dislike. I won't list them here, but if you ask about one, I'll let you know as soon as possible. Also, Torture scenes that go past PG-13/T are also a no-go. IF I think of anything else, I'll put it in here. |
