I would ask anyone who requires my services to provide me with a story plan: the ABC's of where they would like to go with the story so I can better understand the flow of the chapters and character /

My game plan is simply this: I take the draft of the chapter, read it 3x - 1st for a run through; 2nd for sentence structure issues and 3rd for spelling/grammar foibles. When I make corrections to spelling/grammar, I simply highlight the corrected word or the needed punctuation. If it is a sentence structure issue, I will underline the original and in parenthesis, will write the correction (sometimes an explanation is supplied as to why the change was made).br /

If I have any ideas or suggestions, I will gladly provide them but it is up to the owner of said story as to whether or not they use them.I never change anything in the original without informing the author as it simply my duty to assist the creator in providing the best possible story for its intended readers. I look at it with the mind of a reader - does it make sense? does it flow well? are there many errors to stumble over or be confused by? After all, the beta reader is the very first reviewer.

Punctuation: I am not afraid of the dreaded semi-colon or the much needed dash when /

English Grammar: I have tutored English for over 15 years and can easily meander between American & British vocabularybr /

Story lines/plots/flow: I can sense any disturbance in the /

Foreign Grammar: I also speak,read & write French and Japanese so use of foreign words do not phase me.

It takes more time to write than it does to read & edit or I would write more /

I live, eat and breath for InuYasha, Bleach, Fruits Basket, Black Blood Brothers, Peach Girl, Trinity Blood - I know those stories and characters backwards and forwards as I own ALL the anime & manga for each of them. I am also a sucker for Miyazaki movie fanfics - Howl's Moving Castle, Whisper of the Heart, Porco Rosso, Spirited Away

While I may read yaoi, I will not beta it. I do not especially like the Crime,Horror or Tragedy genres either. I don't want to do any book fanfiction - I prefer my book characters to remain intact in my memory.
