I always try to beta to the level required by the author, starting with spelling and grammar and moving onto actual content if required. I try not to change the meaning of a sentence, but if it doesn't make sense to me I would offer an alternative. If I am familiar with the genre I'll offer opinions/suggestions on the content when asked to.

I am English and have good literacy skills. I'd also say I have a good grasp of different narrative styles, though that may not be apparent from the stories I have so far submitted on here.

I have not yet reviewed many stories so I'm not sure, possibly impatience if I find the story boring, but if I've promised to Beta I will.

Happy stories I guess, since I'm a romantic at heart, but a good story can be anything if it's well written.

I really don't like torture and misery, or excessive insects.
