I've been editing the stories and papers of friends and family for years. Quite honestly, I am probably more successful as a Beta than I have been at managing my own stories.

My specialty is character development and keeping the characters IN character, as well as plot development. I can also read for spelling and grammar. I have an extensive vocabulary, as well as broad knowledge of my preferred categories. I have been reading fanfiction for about five-six years and writing it for around five.

I will mangle your poetry. I know it, you know it, your poetry knows it.

If I'm reading primarily for spelling and grammar, I'm open to almost anything. If I'm doing anything more, I highly suggest using me for LOST, Buffyverse, or DC Comics stories, though anything on my profile is fair game. For x-overs, I would need to be familiar with all intersecting universes. I also find it helpful to know who your favorite characters are or who the story is particularly focused on, as well as the broad strokes of the plot.

Please, please, please, read over your stories for spelling and grammar before sending them to me! While everyone makes mistakes (myself included), I become thoroughly vexed when reading over stories with careless errors, such as not capitalizating words like 'I' or not including spaces between sentences. Other than that, I'm not particularly picky.
