I've been roleplaying for many years now, and that gave me great experience to be writing and beta-ing fanfiction. When I beta I usually look for spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. Capitalization is a major thing for me, and when I see something that isn't capitalized when it should be, it drives me insane. I try and get revisions and suggestions back as soon as I can, the average time being one or two days. Things tend to come up sometimes, though, so please be patient if something does come up. Rudeness is...rude. Don't do it.
I'm nice. :) You won't hear any bad criticism from me. Anything negative will have a suggestion on how to fix it.

When reading a type of story I know really well, I'm extremely good at characterization. I can tell if you're going out of character with someone, and I'll let you know. Sentence structure, an odd strength to have, but I have it, as well as the basics, of course. Grammar, spelling,

I'm really nice, and sometimes it's hard for me to tell people what they need to fix, because I don't like offending people. Also, misspellings sometimes go right over my head. Example: pedifile instead of pedophile. I use spellcheck when I write and beta read as an effort to improve this.

I read and beta every type EXCEPT mature romance. Don't like it. Plus, since I don't read it, I'd be a bad beta reader for that type. Everything else's cool by me.

I read pretty much any type of story, but if you use music lyrics in it, you run the risk of my loosing interest. Those types of fanfics just don't interest me, and if I even try to read them, I usually get bored and click away after about the second block of lyrics. Sometimes I skip the lyrics and read just the story, sometimes I don't read it at all. SOMETIMES first person is a thing I don't enjoy, but not always. I'll loose interest though, if you skip around on who is in the first person.
