As a beta-reader, I try to be as helpful as possible. I'm very good with grammar, spelling, and the other technical intricacies of writing, which is probably the best thing I can offer as a beta. Any criticism I give will always, always be constructive, and I'll help you to put any errors right as best I can. I'm also pretty easy to get along with, and I think this is a plus!

I have an extremely sound grasp of grammar, as well as spelling. As I mentioned above, I have a lot of experience with linguistics, and it is a passion of mine. As long as I know the category you're writing in, I'm also more than happy to check how you've written the characters if you're concerned they might not be quite as they are in canon.

It probably goes without saying, but: if I'm not overly familiar with whatever it is you're writing fic for, I'm probably not the best person to tell you if you're writing the characters well or not! I'll still read over for any grammatical/spelling errors and things like that, but if it's IC/OOCness you're worried about and what you're writing isn't listed in my Category Preferences, you should probably ask someone else! Sorry!

Anything a little bit different - not the same old "Canon Character x OC" love-fests or love-triangles or whatever. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for OCs - they're fantastic, provided they aren't just carbon-copies of generic characters. If your story is a little bit different from the others in your chosen category, I'll love it all the more.

As I said above, I'm up for pretty much anything plot-wise. However, there are certain categories I'm not really very familiar with (most Anime/Manga and Games), and really the only reason I'm mentioning them here is also outlined in my weaknesses. If I don't know the show/book/ect that you're writing for, I'm only going to be able to help with the structure and actual technicalities of your writing. If that's all you want from me, then I have no problems reading over your stories, whatever you're writing them for!
