Beta Bio: general description as a beta reader
I will read through your chapter thoroughly and type, in red, anything I think should be changed; whether or not you actually change it is completely up to you. If it is part of a continuing story (i.e. not a one-shot), I will read the entire story to check for continuity and character development. If something in the story does not make sense, I won't be afraid to tell you so. I will be honest, but I will not be overly harsh. I will try to get your chapter/story back to you within a day or two (depending, obviously, on how long it is). |

I excel at grammar/mechanics and constructing a coherent plot. Also, I will do everything in my power to ensure that your characters and their actions are believable. |
My Weaknesses: beta, writing, or reading weaknesses
I tend to skimp on descriptions in my writing, and my betareading will probably reflect this as well. If there is a point in the story where you could add more descriptive language and such without messing with the story's flow, I will most likely not notice. |
Preferred: types of stories I prefer over others
Action/adventure stories are great, as are angsts, dramas, suspense thrillers, and even romances (yes, I'm secretly a hopeless sap at heart). Stories with strong plots or, better yet, themes are wonderful. Also, I am not easily offended, whether by violence, language, or sexual content, particularly if these help to advance the plot and/or theme. FFVIII stories exploring the darker side of SeeD (if you don't know what I'm talking about, don't worry about it) are my favorites. |
Would Rather Not: I do not beta for these stories
