I love reading/writing and have grown up in a family of writers. My mum wrote children's books, my dad is an editor and author, and various family members work/worked in journalism. Therefore, I consider myself qualified not only for these reasons, but because I successfully edit my own books/fanfic and have had no editorial complaints on my job as a news admin for a fansite. I've beta read for others and continue to do so on a word of mouth basis; I've also worked as a (successful) paid editor. I do NOT accept beta stories with slash, graphic romance/sex, and foul language. Please keep it fairly clean. I excel at proofreading fanfic and checking it for errors, as well as continuity errors and making sure everything makes sense. I have an excellent, wide knowledge of pretty much everything JRR Tolkien and therefore can help in making sure your LOTR stories flow. I have nearly the same strength in The Queen's Thief series (Megan Whalen Turner), Narnia, Howl's Moving Castle fanfic, Harry Potter, Lloyd Alexander, and the Sisters Grimm books.

I have a forgetful tendency and can easily push stuff aside if its not on the top of my mind-so if you're fanfic's beta reading isn't getting done quick, please bug and nag at me as much as possible!

I write Lord of the Rings fanfic, therefore, I'm very interested in beta reading for LOTR stories as well as: Artemis Fowl, Howl's Moving Castle, and Narnia stories. Please note that I am most interested in Howl's Moving Castle stories that are based on the book, I know the movie but prefer working with book fanfic. I also like Lloyd Alexander books, the Inheritance Cycle (Eragon, Eldest, and Brisingr), Charles Dickens books, Harry Potter, Lloyd Alexander, the Queen's Thief series and Inkheart so I'm willing to beta read for all of those as well.

I will NOT beta read ANY stories that have slash, graphic romance/sex, foul language, and (extremely) graphic violence in them. Please respect this and if your story has any of the aforementioned stuff in it, take it to another reader! I'm not interested in beta reading for anything that I've only remotely heard of. The one book that I will not except anything from is the Twilight Saga, or Fifty Shades of Gray, sorry but I just won't beta read for that.
