I am a decent betareader, I think. I've never actually betaread someone's fanfiction, however I have helped friends revise creative writing assignments (and vice versa, to be honest). I am generally a stickler about grammar, but not always. I will try to be nice about any changes needed (unless you refuse to listen. Then I get upset and think you are wasting my time. If such an event occurs, I cannot be held responsible for any angry, all CAPS messages sent in frustration. Fair warning). I cannot translate any fanfics, since the only foreign language I speak is Spanish, and I am nowhere near fluent in it. I can, however, help non-native English speakers with any issues with unfamiliar wording, or words accidentally left out. Likewise, if I use any other language in any of my stories, I would like it if the same consideration be given to me (in layman's terms, if I make a mistake, please point it out to me, and I will try to do the same for you). I may not always be available, as I am a college student and schoolwork takes up a lot of my time.

I can help with sentence structure and order, so that the story flows better. I can work with non-native English speakers to make their English stories more understandable to native English speakers. I am pretty good at spelling, and if I'm not sure about how to spell a word, I will make judicious use of the dictionary (for example, judicious!).

I still struggle with recognizing misuse of commas, and dialect can be difficult to get right.

Non-canon stories. Harry Potter, of course. Will consider beta-ing Eragon or Sabriel fanfiction.
