I've lurked around the fanfiction realm long enough to know what works and what doesn't. At the very least, proofread your work before sending it to me. I have stringent standards and will not accept anything that falls below a certain quality threshold.

I deal with the following: Technical stuff - spelling, grammar, punctuation. Basics that everyone ought to be familiar with (but unfortunately aren't). Style/Diction: Flow, coherency, consistency of voice/POV, use of descriptive language and poetic flourish, aesthetic appeal. Readers ain't gonna like your fic if it doesn't read well or clearly. Characterization: I'll tell you if canon characters are realistically portrayed or not. This includes level of IC-ness, background plausibility, direction and pacing of character development. Plot: I'll point out any glaring plot inconsistencies and alert you of things that threaten suspension of belief or immersion.

Plot pacing: I have difficulty determining whether a plot is proceeding at a good speed, as my writing itself tends towards the glacial end of the spectrum. Dialogue isn't my strongest suit either; I have a distinct slant towards formality.

I'm currently exploring FFXIII and NieR: Automata, so anything from either of those fandoms is good. Introspective character-driven stories. Angst/drama/darkfic/tragedy. Stories set within the canon universe. Serious and/or mature romances. Heterosexual pairings, but I don't mind F/F or M/M pairings so long as long they have some basis in canon.

Implausible pairings. Sexual relationships between an adult and a minor. Action scenes with specialised battle techniques described to shonen-style levels of detail – those bore me to death. High school/college AUs. Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu self or reader inserts. Crackfic/randomness. Hyperglycaemic amounts of fluff. While I enjoy a well-written sex scene (and can certainly help with fleshing out the details), stories with a singular focus on smut are not my thing. And please don't ask me to design (or approve of your) OCs, especially for the role of main protagonist. I detest those with a passion.
