I will look for any mechanical mistakes (spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc) and I will point out any weaknesses in plot or consistency. I will usually read over a piece once and then wait a day and come back with a fresh set of eyes and go over it with a fine-tooth comb so to speak, so I will probably get the story back to you in two to three days. I will do my best to catch any mistakes, but of course I won't necessarily get everything every time so please don't expect perfection from me. I am a linguist, so if I see something that doesn't mesh well with me in terms of word choice or sentence structure, I will probably alter it. If this is for stylistic purposes, ignore those changes if you feel that what you originally wrote sounds better.

My strengths in writing include description, being a perfectionist when it comes to mechanics, and emotive writing. I write romance chiefly but I will edit any story brought to me.

My weaknesses are writing action scenes (hence why I've only written one Action/Adventure story, though it got good reviews). If you ask me to help with a particular action scene, I'll do my best, but to be honest, you may want to go to another beta reader who specializes in writing these types of descriptions.

My preference is romance since it's my specialty, but as I said before, I'll edit any story brought to me. Now, if it's a story from a show, movie, or book I've never heard of, then I will only be able to correct the basic mechanical problems.

I have nothing against lemons, but please do not ask me to edit or create sex scenes for you. I do not feel in any way qualified to try and judge whether the description of two people (heterosexual or homosexual) making love is compelling enough since I've never experienced it myself. Also, if you tell me to do research for you, I will send the story back to you and tell you to do it yourself. If you're so lazy that you can't bother to google-search a particular topic, you shouldn't be writing the story.
