As a beta reader, I will strive to return your work edited as soon as I possibly can, and I will try to provide criticism in a tactful manner, focusing on both the positives and the negatives in a work. In return, I do ask that anyone whom I beta for will proofread his or her own work first, so I don't have to waste excessive amounts of time fixing minor typos that could be caught by the author alone. (If English isn't your first langauge, just tell me, and I will be far more tolerant of the little errors, because I know it is a challenge writing in a second langauge.) As a writer, and, therefore, a beta, my strengths entail a knowledge of canon, an enormous vocabulary, a knack at switching around sentences, and a skill at writing witty dialogue. I also have excellent grammar skills that you can call upon.

As a writer, and, therefore, a beta, I am less talented when it comes to writing action or war scenes, and my descriptions of romantic things like kisses are not brilliant, so if you are writing an action or romance story, you might look elsewhere for guidance.

I would prefer to beta longer stories that revolve more around family or friends, but that is not a requirement, and I am perfectly willing to make exceptions if need be.

I would prefer not to beta read crossover fics, or slash stories where everyone on the surface of the planet turns out to be homosexual. Yes, some people are homosexual, but the highest estimates claim that only about ten percent of people are, so you're pushing credibility if everyone is in your story. Also, I will not beta incest fics for moral reasons.
